This is the location that started it all! Our flagship restaurant opened in 1958, and Dreamland founder John “Big Daddy” Bishop built it himself. Our humble, local bar-b-cue joint quickly became a favorite gathering spot for members of the Alabama football coaching staff to bring recruits. It wasn’t long before we became THE gameday destination in Tuscaloosa.
We haven’t changed much around the restaurant since those early days. License plates line our walls, Christmas lights hang above the bar, and we still prepare our ribs just like Big Daddy taught us. So drop on by and dine-in with us or, if you prefer, place an order for curbside delivery or carryout.
